Why I became a BSAJ member: In the last five months since I came to the United States, I have had many experiences that I could never have imagined before. Every day I am inspired by being surrounded by friends who I can really respect, regardless of race, nationality, gender, and environment in which I was born and raised. While I am grateful for this opportunity, I have come to think that I shouldn't just keep it my own. I hope that by sharing my experience and making Japanese people aware of the existence of schools and scholarships, going to boarding school will be another option for more people in the near future. ..

Activities at BSAJ: I will share my experience at the boarding school through SNS and other media. In addition, I would like to interact directly with everyone who is involved in the planning and management of events and are interested in boarding schools, and convey their appeal.

What if you didn't decide to enroll in a boarding school? :

I think I graduated from the high school I was attending and took the entrance exam for a Japanese university. Even if I made that choice, I think I had a fulfilling life with my Japanese friends, but I think that transferring to a boarding school showed me a wider range of possibilities.

Fun things in boarding school life:

It's time to spend the weekend with friends. Going shopping together, going to a restaurant, running to a nearby lake, and being taught how to cook food from your country of origin, everything is very fresh for the first time. Also, the abundant teaching options are one of the biggest attractions of Choate that I think. There are countless interesting lessons, and it's easy to miss when choosing a lesson. I'm thinking of taking classes in photography, journalism, international affairs, etc. from next year, and I'm really looking forward to it from now on.
